One Room Challenge | Bathroom Plans

Guys! I am so excited to be participating in this years One Room Challenge. We are getting ready to tackle our "master bathroom." We have two full bathrooms in our home, one upstairs and one downstairs. Our upstairs bathroom contains an old cast iron tub and it is one of my favorite things about our home. Eventually, we plan to add a shower head suspension to the tub but considering the downstairs bath is so much larger we will be using that as our "master" for the foreseeable future. So, here is what we're working with downstairs... yikes, I know!

Built in cabinets

Bathroom Penny Tile

Outdated Bathroom

Bathroom Vanity

Bathroom Shower Tub Combo

Bathroom Towel Rack
So as you can see, this space is severely outdated and we have quite a bit of work to do. As much as I would love to get a new bathroom vanity, sink and shower it's just not in the cards for us right now. So we're going to work with what we've got! We are also working on budget, $300 to be exact. It is my hope that in the end this space will feel lighter and brighter. This is a significant challenge considering the fact that we don't have any natural light in here! Yep, none. I'm hopeful that down the road we can install a window but for now, like I said, we're working with what we've got. I hope you guys will enjoy following along with me as we transform this space. Some content you can expect throughout this journey will include:
spray painted countertops
how to switch out your own bathroom faucet
bathroom light fixture inspiration
new cabinet pulls and hardware
new toilet paper and towel holders
and lastly, two fun DIY's that I am going to keep a surprise (for now)

Bathroom Mood Board
ORC plans & inspiration

Above is a sneak peak and my mood board/ inspiration for this entire project. I plan to add some greenery and textured neutrals as well in order to compliment the more modern cabinet pulls, faucet and light fixture to give this space a modern bohemian feel. I'll make sure to link all products and sources at the end of the One Room Challenge. I want to personally trial these products first and make sure they're worth sharing. So there you have it guys, this is what I'm working with. Now buckle up friends because this is going to be a fun and exciting few weeks and I cannot wait to share it all with you.
